An ABC report noted that the U.S. Vice President met with executives of video gaming corporations in order to seek help in the reduction of gun violence, following the recent incident in Connecticut. The executives have referred to researches that indicate no significant relation in gun violence and games such as those in the first-person shooter (FPS) genre throughout this meeting. It seems, perhaps, the only way to reduce gun-related violence issues is to ban firearms altogether for the citizens. You could even get killed by your own gun, like General Grievous in the Star Wars series.

Taxi Driver and Mali's Islamist Rebellion
A CNN Report was descriptive in its elaboration of how the recent rebellion in Mali came to be. What is surprising, also, is that the rebellion, unlike the Arab Spring that tried to overthrow dictators, is being supported by those who fought for Moammar Gadhafi, the dead Libyan dictator. The French government has sent troops to install peace, but it seems that bloodshed is inevitable, as both sides were reported to have casualties.
Se7en and the Current Status of Indian Women
A NY Times report says that the recent rape incident is only showing the "surface of women's perils." The report estimates that approximately 25,000 to 100,000 women are "killed over dowry disputes," and that it is not rare to see them being "burned alive." Situation certainly seems worse than what it looked like from the outside.
The Curse of the Black Pearl and the North Korean Rocket Launch
Tensions are rising as North Korea has launched a rocket, just when the South Korean presidential election was being held. According to a CNN report, the North Koreans have launched something that "may have put an object in the orbit." Meanwhile, South Koreans are debating on the terminologies "missile" and "rocket." Either this or that, it's undeniably scary indeed.

V for Vendetta and I for Influenza
With the flu outbreaks threatening the nation, the importance of flu shots has become greater than before. The good thing is, according to a New York Times report, the epidemic level "may have reached peak" and may be decreased. Nonetheless, things are scarier than ever; better safe than sorry. Get your flu shots NOW.
Dark Knight and Roubini's 2013 Forecast
Dr. Roubini became popular to the public after his forecast on 2008 world financial crisis was proven to be correct. However, ever since then, he's been wrong; his overly pessimistic views on the future of world economy has granted him a rather notorious name for himself. His views seem to continue onto the year 2013, as the economist, according to Business Insider (http://www.businessinsider.com/roubini-perfect-2013-2012-11), argues that "2013 looks awful."
Casino Royale and the Fairly Disappointed Sarah Palin
While Mr. President is nowhere as immoral as James Bond in his ways with women, one can't deny that he certainly is a cool-looking guy. However, Sarah Palin seems fairly disappointed at the President's elongated stay at the White House according to a Huffington Post report (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/07/sarah-palin-on-obama-victory-2012_n_2087795.html); perhaps she thought Romney was better-looking.
